{Anna's No.13} Miss Sassy

Hello Monday and to the rest of the week! Have you ever felt the need to kick start your engine after the weekend? I sure do as I feel like I'm such a home-y person. Well am sure you might agree with me that being able to stay home, do nothing, read a good book and a pamper session is a luxury. Or I could be turning into a couch potato??? [hehehhe....]

Apart from my fetish for cute cardis, I love polka dots too. Sometime back, I found a really great black skirt with a fantastic structure  [i am sensing some stares.. good ones or bad ones?]. The skirt hugs at all the right area and really accentuate a lady's curve. It also gives you a fantastic lift around the bum. Today I've finally wore this skirt for the very first time with my my polka dots top paired with this kick-ass skirt & accessorised with red heels, belt and earrings.

In my opinion, having some punch to an outfit adds some edge to start the week off right. Hmm..now what will I wear on Tuesday or the day after? Stay tune..

{Anna's No.12} Weekend Outing in Christmas Colours?

Just the other day, it was pretty strange as I was humming a Christmas Carol. I know... it's still beginning of the year and that Christmas is not till December. I guess Christmas somehow puts me in a different place and completely different mood. It's like nothing could stop me from just being happy, chirpy and above all nothing could tick me off like a time bomb.

The only thing bad probably you might think is "Oh god! what was she thinking, wearing those colours?" Oh well..like I said.. nothing could put me in a fowl mood if I think it's Christmas every single day. However,  this don't happen all the time as I fear my colleagues will think that I'm kuku. Lol..

Remember that top I just recently showcased? The F21 top, that I boast how comfy it was? Well, yeah.. guilty as charged..I kindna' wore it again over the weekend. Call me lazy, but then some of my remixes were in the wash and waiting to be ironed.

I'm such a sucker for cardis, and I think I should really drop that fetish of mine. What do you think? I can't believe that I paired my F21 top with one of my fav green cardi... Now, to reveal the outfit [drumrolls]..
ta-da [okay, I don't usually say this but it was to heighten up the effect] Did it work?

{Anna's No.11} Anthropologist @ Work

Yeay! Here comes the weekend.. I have serious love for this Forever 21 top. I found it on a rack in Forever 21 and it was the one and only piece left. Plus it has a discounted price [a great buy ;)]. My heart dropped when I saw it and knew immediately that this top will slowly find a way into my closet, it's new home.

I don't know where to begin to tell you that this top is super comfy.. I could literally sleep in it. I believe this is my first time revealing the top too. Instead of pairing with a necklace, I decided to use my buttterfly scarf as the accessory instead. The top is a little pink-ish red. I think military green and maroon-ish colours work pretty well together. Today I feel like an anthropologist, scouting for new ideas to create new outfits. Or maybe an archeologist searching for precious jewels, but with Sex in The City's SJP in mind.. pairing the whole outfit together with va va voom red wedge. Now, perhaps one day I will have my Louboutin??

{Anna's No.10} Getting there..

Oh gosh.. I'm soooooo way behind on the outfit remix. However, I'm getting there.. I was just looking back through some of the outfits.. and I think I could do better. I am itching to create more fun playful outfits or something funky...

Screw the hot weather, I'm gonna be me, myself and I and do my layering if possible. Lol..

Not sure if this shot works, but I was pretty lazy to step outside and since I was wearing green I thought of photographing my outfit in my own cosy room.. Do I look like a cameleon trying to blend in with my sheets?

Till then!

{Anna's No.9 + Rule Breaking Monday} Fuschia floral dress, another Beidge dress &Green Cardi

I believed I felt like a Tropical Barbie in this outfit, but in ++ size. Lol.. Who would know that fuschia and green can go together? Well I certainly didn't know until I was looking at a tropical art piece that we purchase for our family home.

Right now, I have not enjoyed dressing as much as I used to. I mean I've always love dressing up but I love love love it even more now. It's just super fun. Pushing your creativity and really the sky's the limit. I believe we do get better as we go along. Sometimes the outfit may not seem much, but what matters most is how we feel in it. I would say.. gorgeous all the time ;)!

This week will be quite a crucial week as my big boss came down and had a discussion with us. Talk about making an impression?

Right now I couldn't quite recall the look I put together, whether has it been inspired by another fellow remixer. For this, please forgive me if I couldn't name anyone at this point.

Hmm.. I'm thinking of doing something to my hair. My hair is naturally wavy + hot and humid weather= frizzy maine. Not so great.. Wondering if I should go perm and have larger curls or chop it.. any suggestions????? Hello.. any fashionista readers out there.. Feel free to suggest and I might just take your suggestion for a new look.

{Anna's No.8) Thoughts...

When I put together this outfit, I thought to myself "it's pretty shabby chic" isn't it? The top is cotton, which is pretty relax but the skirt is part silk with floral prints and pleated. For that moment I felt like I was in the French Riviera or in some kind of old movies. The feel is pretty semi-casual, and this look was originally inspired by a look put together from the InStyle magazine. I believe it's the most recent Natalie Portman issue, either the Jan or Feb issue.

"Thinking"

Originally, I had a blazer paired with that I wore to the office. Since it was too hot, I decided to omit the blazer. Not sure why I titled this post as "thoughts". I guess a lot of stuff had been going through my mind lately in terms of career, out take on life etc. A shot was even taken without me realising that I was starring deeply into the sky. However, I kinda' like this photo of me.

Right now, all I could think of is a vacation. I'm so in dire need of a getaway. Lol..

{Anna's No.7} A Rose A Day

It seems like this week is passing by quite slowly. Work's pretty slow too. Not that I'm complaining. However, this may not work too well with my brain as I'm struggling to find a topic to talk about..lol. Usually I'm a chatty person, but this week I'm pretty speechless.

Attempting to walk and pose..kekeke..but ended up look like I'm falling.

Do I look taller posing like this?
Since my brain is underworking, I could say this outfit that I put together is a lazy outfit. On a high note, I assure you this outfit is 100% comfy. However, lazy does not mean sweat pants and a t-shirt. I will not be caught dead in those. Lately, it seems that I'm into my cardis and stripes for some strange reason. Has it got to do with my age o_0? Nah, I think cardis are so cute that it could always spiced up any outfit. So I've heard that no lady wears a brooch under the age of 50 too. Well, I'm not wearing a brooch, and it is a lovely rose pin which I got free from L'occitane and decided to clip it to by blouse and cardi..to add a burst of fuschia and shabby chic feel?
Here's to my lazy week.. a slight moment of dressing down!

{Anna's No.6 + Rule Breaking Monday} Shades of Blue and Stripes

I am aware that I may be 1 day late in posting this post, but I hope it still counts ;p. I just didn't have the time to post it up yesterday [guilty as charged!]. Now, I have always followed Elaine from Clothed Much blog and I saw that she has a post about Rule Breaking Monday. So this time I was seriously tempted to join in the fun.

Yesterday, I did a pretty radical thing as I wore different shades of blue; a nautical blouse with a black pencil skirt, paired with a lighter blue cardi, a complete different shade of blue heels to the office and a tan messenger bag 0_o. This is definitely not my usual business suit.

Not sure whether it will work, but I suppose it did.. or least I think it did. Lol.. Usually my Monday attires are a little more formal compared to this outfit.

Oh..What a way to kick the blues away by dressing in them >.<

Have fun dressing for the rest of the week!

{Anna's No.5} Lois Lane Wannabe

It was still the weekend so, I suppose I'm still in my role play >.<. This time my uni mate pointed out that I look a little serious-ish like a little reporter/ food critic wannabe [yeah right!?!]...Having wore the outfit with a messenger bag, and wore my glasses. Hmm..but I might have failed, since I have fun and food glorious food written all over my face and mind.

Food Glorious Food..written all over..

Well, this time as usual, I didn't get much shots as I had to rush out to dinner. I had dinner with my uni-mate whom I've not seen for a while now. Can't believe that time keeps flying by so quickly and that it's been 6 years now since we threw our graduation hats into the air, collected our scroll from our Deans, plus we have been sucked into the real world. We do nothing but work, eat and sleep. Gosh.. what a way to live right? Hahahaha..

Okay I made reservation for us at an Italian Restaurant (Silver Spoon Trattoria) And I have forgotten that it's Valentines day after the weekend, so when we arrived, the mood of the restaurant was filled with couples being all mushy [not that I've anything agaisnt it]. It's just that the both of us love laughing a lot and yes we laugh pretty loud too, so I didn't have the heart to spoil the couples mood. Thank god the restaurant manager understood our situation and offered a party room to the both of us. Yup, the whole room was just for us. Imagine all the stares we had since we had special service, where the manager came to serve us and all we talked about was food. I felt like a food critic for a split moment ;p. Since I didn't get to snap much of myself, I managed to be a food reporter and snapped the wonderful meal we had. Right now, I'm just hoping that the photo shoot will be the workout session [lazy me ;p] Overall rating: The food was delish and a great night catching up.

fried mozarella balls

Arrancini: fried risotto balls stuffed with brie

silver spoon special

beringer wine, slightly infused with watermellon and strawberry

tuna with flat pasta in cream sauce

tiramisu (authentic)

So have fun feasting your eyes! Next post, I promise it will have more shoots on the outfit.

{Anna's No.4} The Beethoven In Me

Woohooooooooooooo.. it's finally Friday. TGIF!! It will mean one thing. I get to go casual with my outfit.
Don't you just look forward to the weekends?

Today's outfit is very much inspired by my musical soul. Long before I grew up and now work at a desk job, I play both piano and violin and have always dreamt to be part of an orchestra or to be in a band. Being a musician was the profession I always had in mind since I was 7 years old. The very first song that intrigue my curiosity was Beethoven's Symphony No.5 in C minor. Since then I was hooked.

Perhaps in my next life, I am fortunate enough to pursue my dreams further. Right now, I have no regrets in life as I feel that moving forward helps to stay strong and positive. The best life given is to be appreciative and embrace every single moment. There's no loss after all. Till this day, I still enjoy playing both of my instruments. The best part at the end of the days is I that I still get to role play and imagine myself in a concert hall while I'm at home. Lol..

I've just started my role play. Have you? Enjoy your weekend y'all!

(Anna's No.3} Welcome Onboard To Flight...

Recently, I was browsing through my travel photos taken while I was in Sydney. The photo above reminded the colours I chose for my remix 30 for 30. I've always loved this shot taken of the Sydney Harbour. This shot was taken by myself when we were passing through the bridge. It was a bright sunny day with fantastic blue sky. I sure miss those sky blue colour.

I think you might noticed that I'm addicted to this remix challenge..lol. Perhaps mine may not be a complicated outfit 'yet' and I think I am trying to do simple at times. In my opinion simple exudes classy and chic. Trust me it's pretty tough for me as I tend to like clothes with floral or subtle polka dot prints. Infact I don't even have a particular style.

What I can tell you a little about myself is that I love layering, and only if the weather in my country permits that. I like cute cardis, pencil skirts and if I could buy them in colours I love, I would. Lol..  Just yesterday, a colleague of mine told me that she notices that I love to wear cardis, belts and layer a lot of my clothing. For now, it will not be layered with wools or anything thicker cause it will be a suicide.

Yeay! It's a rep..

Just had to snap me taking a photo ;p
Oh! And I can't stop wearing this top. I seriously have found new love for my pre-teen uni days top [shown in photo].

The look is inspired by Elaine from I'm Clothed Much.  Instead of a necklace, I wore a scarf. My brother hinted that the attire resembled a little bit like a flight attendant outfit. Am not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. At first I was a little hessitant to post this outfit, but I like what I wore :P. If I was a flight attendant, I think I would be the va va voom girl ;). For this outfit, I was thinking along the lines of what will Kim (a character) be wearing in Drop Dead Diva.

Thank you for reading and have a splendid day!
