{Remixes} Yellow Yellow.. skirt on fire

CottonOn blouse, GAP cardi + skirt, dorothy perkins belt
Aldo heels
Ever heard of liar liar, pants on fire? Well when I  first put on the skirt, for some strange reason my brain decided to change it to "yellow yellow.. skirt on fire".

I've never really wore the colour yellow and well I do try to avoid it at times. After all being Asian, it is believed that we have yellow under skin tone. I wonder where did that come from.?!? So all these years I've been told wearing yellow makes me look even yellow-er. Really? Do I? Take a look at the picture and tell me what do you think? As for the outfit, I was trying to channel J.Crew and since they don't have the brand here, I think I did a good job emulating.

Right now, I adore this skirt to bits and the best part is that I bought it off the sale rack. It's one of my favourite yellow item, and it's cotton, light weighted and perfect for any summer outing. Sure brightens up my day.

{Remixes} Lacey

Wallis lace blouse, dp jeans-folded, Aldo sandals

The cake I baked for my dad. For recipe check it out at http://chicgorgeous.blogspot.com/
Loving my neon coral blush nail varnish.. diva ring and thrifted bangles
The weather has been erratic lately. It can be cooling some days and really hot on most days. Over the Father's Day weekend, I manage to bake a cake for my dad, and found some time to squeeze in a pamper session. My nails needed much TLC (tender, loving ..care ;p)

Recently, I found myself getting all girly and seem to be drawn towards lacey blouses or skirts. A top with lace adorned frills, or a sheer lace top etc. There's this top that I bought sometime ago which I never had a chance to showcase it. So I figured there will always be a first time to everything. The best part is; it's ultra cooling to wear a lace blouse over a camisole. A perfect way to stay cool, collective yet chic, hip and look like a million dollars without breaking the bank account of course. In other words, you're in style and hot babe!!!

{Remixes} Feeling Earthy

F21 blouse, padini jacket, M&S pants, dp clutch, charles & keith wedge
I know how usually summer is all about bright cheery colours and bold too. However, since it's summer here all year round, I guess you can forgive me on this outfit. I'm not feeling really cheery that day and I think it has sort-a affected my mood in dressing and smilling too. Can you see how I am forcing my lips to smile? Probably at this point of time, having a set of pliers might come in handy..LOLs..

Well, since I was not feeling fiesty, I decided to be zen and neutral. To add a punch, I wore my light weighted jeans jacket and a wedge studded with gold pins. Do I sense some of you thinking "is she okay?.. a jeans jacket??" Please be assured no lips were hurt in the making of the photoshoot. Probably just my sanity.

{Remixes} Brunch @ Antipodean

CottonOn blouse, similar jeans-folded, Aldo flats

H&M scarf, dp vest
Have you heard of any bistro or cafe serving Big Breakfast whole day? I must have strike a lottery when recently I was told there was this place which serves delish Big Breakfast on their menu whole day. Naturally I went out for brunch (breakfast + lunch = brunch) with some ladies.

Since I knew I will be indulging and eating anything that comes my way,  I decided that the outfit has to be ultra comfortable, with extra room for me to breathe. Psss.. here's a little secret; it's mainly to hide the ever bulging tummy from over eating.. LOLs.

{Remixes} I am No.2

F21 jacket, Mika & Lola blouse, thrifted-suede pumps, dp jeans

Judging by the post title, I believe you can pretty much tell that I'm out of ideas [for now that is..]. Anyways, meet her, Miss No.2. For most of you don't know, this is how I would look like everyday. I would say in an average of 7 days, all 7 days will be a geeky me.

I've recently changed my frames, and am loving every minute of it. All of a sudden I felt more creative and filled with spunk. Just had to share that with you. In case you're wondering, the frames are in a maroon-ish / dark fuchsia colour.

More to come.. and I promise; for the next post, it will not be about me. This is unlike me, to have so many "me" in a sentence.. Cheers!

{Remixes} Kendi's Remixes is back and I'm late..

jacket-thrifted, Just Jeans blouse, dp jeans, aldo flats, 9west clutch

Okay, I admit.. While most of you probably started posting your remixes a week ago, I'm only doing it now. I was just at Kendi's and she had this post about "A Day Late and A Dollar Short". I'm not copying here and NOooo I say again, I'm not copying.. But that motto of hers sort of implies that I'm really a mess or just plain bad with time. LOLs..

Time is something that I constantly work on and I assure you I'm not that bad.. at least I came up with a cute outfit. Or so I think..And I'm ready for my date. Hello.. date fella.. you still there??? ;p

Travel: Thrifting at Camberwell

I think one of my favourite past time right now is thrifting, apart from cooking, baking and rearranging furniture around the house, that is whenever I can, lols.

To be honest, I've never thrifted in Melbourne before, and this time round when I was there, my friend, Fifi brought me to Camberwell Market. This flea market only opens on Sunday and I believe it starts at 10.30 or 11am all the way up to 1.00pm.

I cannot believe my eyes on what I found. It was like a treasure trove, waiting for somebody discover and take it back with them. While walking around, I found some really chic platters, hand blown ice cream glasses, some Wedgewood and Royal Doulton housewares, trendy accessories, jewelries, clothes and errr shoes too. I couldn't believe my eyes. If I was living permanently in Melbourne, I assure you a couple of the items would have followed me home. However, I didn't fail badly either. I found myself 2 really cool cake stands, a port bottle with 3 glasses for my mom, an Oroton Silk scarf, Portmans knitted cardi, a blouse and a skirt. What else? Hmmmph??

Like they say, "another men's garbage, is another men's gold"!

Travel: Crown Towers @ SouthBank

the mosaic art piece, love love love the colours
I am so fortunate this time round. Why  you may ask? Well that is because my aunt booked me into Crown Towers at level 24 for a night. Can you imagine my excitement? Something that I did not tell you peeps earlier. I have family members who live, breathe, eat, and erm.. breeds in Melbourne for donkey years. Oh and also, according to my aunt not every gambler has the privilege to check into level 20s' onwards. She said and I quote after her "You've got to be a high stake roller". My eyes literally popped out of my eye sockets. I shall not mention the figure here. Yup.. if you wish, bring out your calculators folks, and start punching in the numbers. Do I sense some envy here? LOLs [just give me 1-2 sec to self-gloating]

Okay I'm back. To be honest, let me divert your attention away for all the roulette tables, jackpot/ slot machines, black jack tables and VIP rooms. There are a couple words to sum up the room I stayed in for just 1 night. It definitely has ID design involved, obviously right?!?!?

COSY. COSY.. COSY....

on me: thrifted cardi, mango blouse, M&S jeans, double layered scarf by dp & thrifted

1. Walls: Wall papered with neutral/ earthy warm shade and has texture which adds some edge and texture to the room. Has a mirror along the foyer which creates the illusion of the walkway to be long and deep.
2. Bed: Great fluffy pillows, king size bed, and a number of throw pillows that adds the final finesse and touches to the room
3. Side tables: I am familiar with the glass lamp design and if it's the original one, it should be hand blown Italian glass lamp. That's chic.
3. Bar: A tiny chandelier over the bar top that adds some glamour to the room.
4. Bathroom: His and her sink, a standing shower and a huge bath tub.

In a nutshell, the room is simple with clean line design; exudes warmth and above all luxurious.

disclaimer: I do not work for Crown, nor I get any benefits for sharing my thoughts and opinion of the hotel room. I'm merely a simple and happy traveller.

Travel: Melbournian

I saw this apartment called The Melburnian while strolling around. That gave me an "A-HA" moment. I think I'm a Melbournian at heart, and I'm not afraid to announce to the whole wide world, LOLs. Or I maybe more than that..hmmph.. now that got me thinking.

Okay, perhaps the photos says, "yeah, she's just a plain tourist". However I warn you not, my fair maiden that deep down.. I pretty much know Melbourne at the back of my head. That's how much I walked around the city or suburbs to think that I might have just power walked to make up for all the calories I consumed.
